This piece has found its home — it hangs in mine now.
I made it thinking about my family scattered across different cities. Each gold nest holds a bird, each bird is someone I love living somewhere else. The pathways connecting them are thin and bright, the way long-distance relationships feel — fragile but real.
The blue background is water, distance, the space between us. The gold is what holds us together anyway.
