Every family has a gesture that's theirs.
Ours is this — the kids and I piling onto my husband's back. Loud, laughing, all at once. He never says no. He just holds us.
I made this piece with wire and my hands. The clay came from egg cartons, mixed with flour and sugar into a dough. Nothing fancy. Just material and time and the need to make something that felt like us.
One figure. Four people. All held together.
Because when everything else gets hard — and it does — you come back to this. The people who hold you. The ones who don't let go.
Part of the family collection. Not for sale.
